I'm using ESXi without RAID and fairly old disks (nice and sensible I know
), is there any way to check disk health, for example a way to pull up the SMART status of the drives? Or an equivalent tool to fsck?
Also, is it normal for uploads to the file store through VSphere to fail on standard home hardware? I've never got more than a few kb/s upload through it and it usually times out so I result to other means of uploading to the datastores.
