esxi windows server mouse jumping

Hi all,

So ive installed windows server 2012 r2 on my esxi host and the mouse cursor is erractic and jumping everywhere. I have downloaded vmware tools iso v10 latest and installed it.

but the cursor is still acting and behaving weird.

thank you so much all. I dont know why i didnt think of that.

The same issue happens when i install ubuntu desktop as a vm on esxi. even though i install open-vm-tools.

is there a similar thing for ubuntu as well ?

? what do you mean. I am talking in regards to using it through vsphere client.

I login into to vsphere client through my laptop and trying to control it through the vm window.

Exactly, use the vsphere client and the most jumps everywhere the scaling for a 4k monitor isn't working. I move to a different monitor and it's fine, maybe your monitor / laptop has a strange resolution?

RDP works fine.

Thought I'd mention it as I have had the same issue, may or not be relevant.
