Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind

The jist in what way?

Did something not make sense?

********SPOILERS!!!!*******

He was getting his mind erased because winslet got hers done, so he thought that would be ok.

The first time they met was on that beach at the BBQ party. NOT on the train. So the film works from the end forward a bit before we go back to the begining.... we see how they meet at the party their relationship and how it falls apart, to the point where they both get their minds deleted, but because Carrey hid Winslet in his mind somewhere where they could not delete her, he gets a "feeling" to go to the beach that day and not work. Where he meets her again. Which is also the reason when she says her name "like the song " he does not know the "clementine" tune she is on about (because he had had it and everything that reminded him of her deleted the night before).

*********END OF SPOILERS**********

yeah ok i dont know how to explain it but it made sense to me. :p If you want anything else explaning in non-plain english just ask.

Wow. Yeah, it's a good watch. I remember watching it about 4 months ago on DVD. I definately agree about seeing Jim play a more serious character but you can't go wrong with Ace Ventura :p

 excellent films! Man on the moon was odd, I couldn't work out if he was taking the mick or being serious half the time.

I'm still not convinced the man is dead! ;)

Have to admit I was shocked by Courtney Love's acting as she was actually very good - not what I was expecting at all!

to each his own and all that but i LOVED that film. not just the film in itself but the story was so nice. i havent seen it for a while but i'm definitely going to watch it again. it kinda reminded me of vanilla sky, which i also really enjoyed.

i must catch Man in the Moon now, i dont really know anything about it but that's half the fun.

Man on the moon was great, but if i'm honest i did not get eteranl sunshine first time, so need to watch it again really

Love Spotless mind.
Went to see it in the cinema and was well impressed with the whole cast.
It was also one of the few films I went out and bought on DVD within the first couple of weeks of release and thus paid the full price rather than waiting for the much reduced price version 3-4 months later.

I can however see how it could be overlooked if you didn't grab the storyline early on and realise exactly how it was working.
No, leaving the film halfway through was not a good move.
