Ethernet Cable length

Would the length of an Ethernet Cable effect/Determine how fast pages /games and so on load up on a PC or is that down to the CPU and other hardwere ?

I'm asking as my Daughter's PC is in her room upstairs and mine is right next to the Modem and Router both are on Ethernet .

Right so it's a hardwere issue then ? ie within the PC itself

well its mostly loading some games ie BF4 for me loads very quickly as do all my others, but for her they seem quite a bit slower .

Intel 4670 ( No OC ).
EVGA 750W PSU.

not sure if the Mobo is z87 or 97..I do know it uses the killer network 2200 ? that sound right

From Battlelog within Firefox , and I'll have to go at some point and check speed on hers, on mine its 221.20 Mbps
