Basically I have a Microserver that I an filling with digital media. Now I bought one to try but £35 is worth it for a Rasp Pi running RASPMC on a tv, then all tvs would have them. Small devices that stream and maybe Youtube, internet
Our upstairs phone line is out builders drew through it I think) so router upstairs IS a poss option (it used to be upstairs) right now my router is down stairs ontop of my server. Sitting nicely, my idea is to run one ethernet from that room into the living for RASP PIl then in the other port I've (the server) and the next will run upstairs to a switch and from there out to all the bedroom TV's (RASP again).
The next subject is cctv? I am looking really for 2 outdoor fairly decent cameras maybe spend more on the front. How would I need to hookup standard cameras to a PVR? I'd rather if I could get my server to do that.
I did get myself a basic IP CAM? it looks liike the pic: hstill just figuring it out. Annoying flashing green light heh
