Ethernet doesnt have valid IP configuration?

I have a curious problem.

My main PC is connected to the router directly.
I use Powerline adapters for my Xbox One, Sky Q and now my sons new PC.

Over the last two days the Sky Q and sons PC lose internet, while all other devices seem ok.

On my sons PC, it says it is connected to the internet but when you check the Ethernet properties it says - "Ethernet doesnt have valid IP configuration".

Everything was working fine up until a couple of days ago.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix?

Cheers

Does unplugging/replugging the Powerline adapters fix it?

The only way to make Powerline adapters 100% reliable is to throw them away and install proper network cabling.

I did the usual unplug, change cables etc and it eventually worked, but it wasnt like I plugged it back in and it automatically worked. It just kinda started working last time.

I do have a long ethernet cable that I ran straight from router to sons PC and it worked fine, which let me to believe it was the powerline adapters\cables. But all lights are on and seem to be working fine on my Xbox (which is the same plug for the Sky Q).

Powerline adapters are a bit of a lottery.

Make sure the firmware is up-to-date.
Make sure they're plugged directly into the wall.
Make sure you set your own encryption keys. Out of the box they all use the same keys which can cause problems beyond the obvious security issues.
