Would six people using this system going through six different plugs and out through one plug into a router be a bad bottleneck? They will be doing no more then web browsing/OWA.
Depends how the powerline hardware deals with collisions. Chances are it'll be OK for light browsing at least (OWA isn't particularly lightweight sadly).
That's down to grounding, if you use a surge protected extension lead for your PC and speakers it should be better.
6 users should be fine if you use the higher speed kit. It works like an old skool ethernet bus network. The total exit bandwidth is shared by all hosts and collisions do happen but there should be some CSMA method for dealing with them. CSMA/CA would be ideal but probably only uses CSMA/CD as it'll be loosely based on wired ethernet technology i'd think.
