Hi,
I'm looking to purchase a pair of ethernet over power adaptors to be used with my router downstairs and my iMac upstairs...

There seems to be plenty of choice out there, one particular model was taking my eye initially:

TP-Link 85Mbps Powerline Adapter Twin Pack (TL-PA101)

Just reading through the specs, including the manufacturers user manual and Mac OSX is not listed as supported, presumably this is for the configuration/monitoring software which comes with the product?!

Any other product suggestions out there? Or would the above be compatible with my Mac?

Cheers,

Grant

As you suggest, any OS compatibility issues will only relate to the management software. You should be okay setting them up to work without using the software, but you could run into problems if the firmware needs reflashing.

Personally I'd go for the 200Mbps version just incase you ever want to stream video.
