Ethernet plug question

Is it OK to buy 20 metre Ethernet already patched, cut off one end so I can feed it through a hole in the wall, then add a new plug to the end? Will this end in failure?

Cable and 4 new ends might be just as easy, safer and probably cheaper.

Buy a tool and a bag of rj45 ends and learn a new skill.

Oh and and a cable tester too if you want to impress your friends and family!
