ethernet switch - can you use more than one computer at a time

i want to use the net on more than 1 computer via this switch - OcUK Value 8 Port 10/100Mbps Ethernet Switch

it doesn't let me! anyone one know why?

aaah. i bought a switch to go before the router because the router (d-link dir 615 DDWRT) spazzes out sometimes. So i thought il connect my wired stuff to the switch and one to the router for wireless.

thats a no go is it?

The router has 4 ports on the back marked LAN you plug them into those. The pc or switch goes into them. The only think ever plugged into WAN is the modem.

i know this. read my post above.

so i can have as many switches after the router but not before. ok i get it now.
