ethernet switch Choice??

Hey guys wanted to see if anyones using a ethernet switch and is there any speed/ data loss while it's being used
Reason is I've just run out of sockets on my router,

At present I'm running a ps4/Sky/pc/tv/ nas server, all on cat.

Would buying a switch benift me instead of buying a new router which would work out more expensive

I would make sure it's gigabit so it won't bottleneck everything. Currently using a 5 port one for all my devices around the TV.

No issues what so ever. Everything plays smoothly with low latency.

A gigabit switch will help,daisy chaining them can introduce issues but if you get a good one and keep it somewhere cool it should work well for you.
