Hey,
I'm looking for the best way to add 802.11n connectivity to a PS3. It only gets about 40-50% signal strength in it's current location, which is enough to stream some HD content. However, when we turn on our wireless surround sound system, the signal strength plummets, and the connection often cuts out (interference I guess).
Other wireless clients (laptops etc.) work fine when the speakers are turned on, so I guess there is a problem with the PS3 being right next to the speaker transmitter (moving either of them is not an option).
So what I'm looking for is an ethernet to wifi adapter, like the Linksys WET610N, or the Netgear WNCE2001. Hopefully this will alleviate the signal interference problems, and also provide better connection speeds. Have you guys had any experience with these models?
Alternately, I could use an old router in bridge mode to provide a stronger signal (I have my old D-Link DGL-4300 lying about), but I need to buy a new power adapter before I can test this!
Cheers,
Su
