Wow, nice find. I will definetly be trying to get hold of a key and hope I can be somebody who can play it :p

This game will be BIG.
 
I'll have this signed up for on Monday, wondering what time the beta test sign up would open at GMT?

I hope I get to beta test this though, this game has been on my list for a long time, gonna order it anyway as I know its made by ID Software & Activision. And I know anything by ID is quality assured.
 
Cool nice one, only problem is i'll probably be at work when they announce the beta. So libel to miss out, never know though fingers crossed.
 
Been looking forward to this for ages, just hope to hell this game plays as good as it looks and not the bog standard quake "bounce-around-the-map-athon". :mad:

If it does then its nothing but quake 4 with some vehicles tossed in :(

Hmmm? if you have played BF2 you will notice its a lot like Quake with the bounce around the map, seriously BF2 seems more like a breakdancing session rather than an all out war.

The guy at the top of the leaderboard i.e the one who has no life, rd volx. I haven't played in like 6 months or something but when I used to play on 24/7 straferight karkand, where all the top scorers played:

Someone got footage of rd volx in action^. Ya its true though, he does that constantly, he must have a macro that is constant on repeat, and because BF2's hitboxes are all over the place when that is done hes hard to hit with bullets. You will find that the majority of the top scorers have some sort of dirty tactics. Phatom 3rd one down, he spends his time nade spamming the whole round behind the fence just down from the USMC hill.
 
Wow, what a sad git. Thats what i really hate about online pc gaming, cheap underhanded crap gets adopted by most people to a degree and after a while its either play using the lame tactics or get owned by the people doing it.

Complain about it and all you get is "omfg stfu noob" and all because you're not sad enough to adopt that crap. :rolleyes: Then if the exploits get patched out of the game all the tards that do it suddenly start seeing their little ratio get affected and stat crying and complaining about it.

Why can't people play games properly and not have to resort to playing a game a lot with the sole intent of discovering some glitch they can exploit?

Course it doesn't help matters that bf2 and 2142 come with a built in epeen meter rank system and a leader board, more incentive for sad children to try and find a cheap way of getting kills. :rolleyes:

Not about fun, its about epeen++ and im sure thats how they see it, they play with the sole intention of getting to #1 spot by any means neccessary. :mad:

If ETQW follows on properly in gameplay style from RTCW:ET then it'll be nothing like a BF2 clone, and from the videos I've seen so far it does.

BF = Glorified capture the flag
ET = Proper objectives
Quake = Kill anything that moves
 
Well not trying to stir things, but a lot of clans such as 20ID etc use macros. I've played with a few of them, they are no where near as bad as rdvolx, but they just bind a key using a macros program such as autohotkey where you bind jump>prone>crouch>prone etc so they just press it and it will basically do the bunny hoping for you. I don't use any game aid at all, fail to see the point, even though others will be using it on the other team I don't feel the need to do it. And yeah you will find RDVOLX on straferight 24/7 karkand server if they still have that server up. In saying that not all clans use macros, for example Team warchild, I've played private games with them before, and they are good players with no macro bunny hoping or whatever, or any grenade spam, just pure gameplay.

Thats what I hate, when people have to do that grenade spam, so its funny for the first few times but not constantly, COD2 is hell for it hence the reason I play on the pro clan servers who have no nades at all.

Back on topic though, the beta page is still not up and its 12:45PM.
