Makes me think this is dodgy now

Apologies, I was less than vague, it's a video explaining a new graphics technique they're messing around with that uses "particles" rather than polygons.

So it makes things look nice, and opens possibilities for the artists, but probably doesn't give anything to game physics.

despite the fact that this video is old as hell, I will say again that the guy in the video sounds like the biggest douchebag ever and if this technology was as revolutionary as he says it is then we would have made steps since the last time I saw this video posted.
 
if they can solve the problem of lighting the voxels and giving them physics then this could be a massive step forward. however, those problems are pretty big ones
