Im planning a 3 day european break this bank hoilday and looking for some ideas of where to go in europe. My little sister( 19 years old) will be tagging along with me so I need somewhere that we both can enjoy. We dont drink so not really intetested in hitting the clubs and also not looking out for chilling out on the beach. We do love our food so somewhere where we can try out new dishes would be great. So if you have any ideas im all ears !!!!!!

I'm a big fan of paris. The Mrs and I have been going probably yearly for the last five years. Good museums, sightseeing, shopping and great food. Not everyone's cup of tea, I know a few on this board can't stand it but I absolutely love the place.

Naples. Best food in the world. As above - Not everyone's cup of tea, I know a few on this board can't stand it but I absolutely love the place.

Of all the places in Italy, Naples is a dump. I rather go to Milan than Naples, that's saying a lot. The only reason to go to Naples is the airport then leave for the Amalfi coasts.

Florence, Rome, Venice are much nicer.

We did Lisbon for the first time earlier this year, and had a really nice time. Food is great if you avoid the tourist areas, but it might be very hot by the end of this month.

Flights on bank holiday weekend will be very expensive leaving it this late.

I would say avoid southern Europe as it'll likely be too hot for a city break, unfortunately that rules out some great cities like Rome, Barcelona, Athens, Lisbon etc.

We just got back from Vienna and thought it was lovely, great food and lots to see and do. 3 days would be perfect.

I've just got back from a two week holiday driving around Europe, and my favourite place was Munich, surprisingly. Really friendly, really clean, transport is excellent, hotels not too expensive, food good. Plenty to do, from football stadium tours to concentration camp tours! And it won't be too hot either, unlike the 42 degrees we had to deal with in Como, Milan and Nice.

Madrid is great IMO, Lisbon too, but I agree with FF, you'll go a long way before you beat Paris.
Of course, you have to bear in mind, that it's just our opinion, you may not see it that way.
I think that the fact that I'm au fait with the language makes it that much more attractive to me.

I know this is bit out there but how about Iceland? Amazing place & sooo safe.

Either Budapest or Krakow, both amazing cities with great places to see and outstanding food.

I'm going to Prague in Sept so looking forward to it.
