Awesome pics. I'll be out there September, can't wait.

Bet the S1000R was faultless too? My mate is tinkering with the idea of getting one to replace his Speed Triple.

Have to say I don't recognise that place dry and sunny, rained all the time when I was out there last year!

I made a couple of rider errors over the 4,000KM or so but the bike was absolutely faultless indeed. Did everything I asked of it without complaint.

Even sitting at a toll barrier just outside of Milan in huge traffic queues the engine temp creeped to 108 Deg C but it did not complain. I've got rad guards on it also so was a little concerned about engine temp but I need not have been.

Even though the Pirelli Rosso Corsa Diablo's wear fast, in the dry they are like riding on rails. Not even a single moment of concern. I messed up on a double apex left hander which sharpened dramatically, I did not read it properly and fixated a little on the wall, sorted myself out, looked round the bend properly and stuffed it onto line and it did it without so much as a squirm.

I reckon the S1000XR is worth a test ride also if he is considering an R!

I used a Drift Ghost S HD and 4 x 64Gb SDXC cards. Used about 175GB of data or so. Considered the GoPro but the form factor is a little bulky for a helmet cam and the remote control was half the cost of the camera again, Drift bundles it free. The onbaord mic for the drift is worthless when moving though, it;s front mounted and has zero wind protection. I used an external mic mounted in the helmet, again the Drift bundles a weather resistant back cover with openings for USB/3.5MM.

As for the pictures, taken with my LG G3, really happy with how they turned out.
