Eurofighter - Nothing Comes Close

I believe there was going to be a VTOL version of the Eurofighter. Whether it actually happened or not, I dunno. Above post suggests not.

ROFL VeNT.

There are a couple of jet fighters being developed on behalf of the British and Americans by Boeing I think. It's going to be able to do everything, including parallel take offs.

are they still doing the JSF too or is it the same thing?

No, but i heard a few years back their was a jet in the design stage that would do vertical take offs.

It has to be said though F22>all

Thats the JSF(Joint strike fighter) Which is nearing completion. Its a joint venture between the UK, USA and possibly others im not sure. Although there asr diplomatic problems at the moment, as the US are refusing to give the software secrets and codes to the UK when we receive our batch of planes. And the UK have refused to accept any fighter without the software codes.

A plane (not capable of vertical take off) is standing on a runway that can move (imagine a huge big conveyor belt).

The plane moves in one direction, while the conveyer moves in the opposite direction. This conveyer has a control system that tracks the plane speed and tunes the speed of the conveyer to be exactly the same (but obviously in the opposite direction).

Can the plane take off?
