Europa League 19th

You watch it Drunkenmaster?....and yeh a bad injury apparently :/...cruciate ligament :(, I hope its not and its just a precaution to use the stretcher.

I watched a bit of the second half, but wasn't paying too much attention, half saw the goal which looked suspiciously like a classic Ade/Theo assist, as in, slightly wide of the goal, took a shot, wasn't going anywhere near the target but someone popped it in :p

THe reason the injury looked bad was, for some reason you often get these injuries where it looks like just nothing/next to nothing has happened, he was still standing, it wasn't anything more than the smallest nudge, but its always a bad sign when a player takes a few steps, and goes down seemingly in pain and a lot of discomfort, you just know when somethings wrong with your knee.

Actually I gets its simple, when theres been a hard tackle, you can expect a bit of temporary impact pain, it goes away, when you have pain without the impact, its normally because somethings really wrong. Theres just that specific way a player goes down that invariably seems to end up being a horrible injury. LIke Ronaldo(fat one) going down all on his own, you just knew it was bad.

Balotelli, what I saw of it, looked pretty sharp, hit the post once, maybe more(might have been before he came on), Silva hit the post with a wild shot but think it was already offside. But when I checked on the game Balotelli did seem to be that guy who'd just get the right side of a defender and make something happen in the box. Would be a shame if he picked up a bad injury, stupid English fans are brutal on foreigners coming back from injurys. Robinho, well on course for golden boot(or a very very good chance at it at least), first half a season he was phenomenal, when he came back from injury not match fit, everyone was attacking him for not defending, being crap, seems the kind of player to play on confidence and I think that finished him off.

Well my brief analysis of the pool game.

Reina was back to his usual reliable self.
Back four was pretty good defensively, full backs never attempted to get out of their own half (Nice tactics at home, that )

Midfield was completely over-run for most of the game, bit better in the second half. Dont rate this Poulsen guy at all, seems like the sort of player WH would/should be signing

Wide players offered no width at all, maxi had a shocker and is just not suited to being 'forced' inside all the time like it seems RH wants - two wide men cutting inside all the time like at Fulham only works when you actually have two wide men who are comfortable doing this!

Jova played well imo, strong on the ball and had a glorious chance to score after a good run into the box. Surely going to be a bit of a cult-hero at Anfield, if he isnt already for his glorious missed header @ arsenal :D

Cole - Terrible! How much worse can this guy get? i realise he's a bit out of touch at the moment but seriously. Currently he's playing the 'in the hole' role less then half as good as Gerrard does, cannot retain possession, poor vision, cannot strike the ball from range and lacks the initial burst of pace to knock it past defenders, remind me why he's played here again? shove him out wide.. theres probably a reason why Chelsea only played him out there.

Babel for such a tall lad is terrible in the air, was completely muscled out of the game in the first 40 mins due to every ball coming his way being a long ball. Played into feet looked quite a bit better and took his goal well.
