Today, Thursday and Saturday at 8pm on BBC1

Very impressed with the staging so far.

Looking forward to it this weekend, I don't like watching the shows during the week leading up to final because that means I'd have already seen all the songs. I prefer to hear them for the first time on Saturday.

Thread title fixed ;)

/edit - totally re-worded my post as it was initially typed with one finger while eating some garlic bread.

Please merge if there's already been a previous OfFiCiaL thread starred

Some qualifying competitions today
And Thursday before the big lol on Saturday.

I don't get the amount of countries this year that have entries that sound like they come straight off the streets of Istanbul or Cairo.

Some bloody lol costumes this year too so far

Belgium and Ukraine both pushing the bar out for ..... I don't know.
Lots of weird 70s 80s vibes and skinny gay monsters as we called them at 6th form.

Brilliant as ever :p

Vote for Sweden obviously

Cannot stand Eurovision
You could have the best song ever written performed by the greatest band, and it would be a win for any country that puts it out. Unless that country was the UK

What's up with the singing in English but not understanding where the emphasis goes thing this year? Very odd.

Finnish Swedes singing for Sweden not gone down well in my house, especially when they threw a bit of Finnish in.

Oh, the UK won't win btw. I heard about 30 seconds of it and nearly threw up.

Spain put on the best 'show' so far...

This is rolled out every year, truth is in the past 10 years only 2 of our entries have made the UK top 40 singles chart, one of those got to number 2 and finished 2nd. If people in the UK don't like the songs why does anyone expect us to do well in Eurovision.

Saying that though Gina G was robbed

Always wishing for a Swedish win so that the following year’s competition will be hosted in the spiritual home of Eurovision and we will be treated to another sidesplittingly funny sketch from the excellent Lynda Woodruff
