Why would h never to open the bonnet on these EV ‘ that never need servicing’.
Quite a few have storage "frunk" in the front... (the last time I was in an EV it was where the charging cables were stored).

Have you got one yet. Or still sat in Nissan dealers drinking tea to claim ‘EV ownership/ experience ‘Quite a few have storage "frunk" in the front... (the last time I was in an EV it was where the charging cables were stored).

How does opening a frunk break a windscreen on a normal car anyway
It’s boring mate. You don’t even have a EV and you talking about what? Can’t even detect sarcasm. Most EV you just chuck them in the boot as you put your bag in etc. no need to open both most the timeI feel sorry for you, life must be pitiful to resort to this kind of spiteful **** posting.
I have no idea.

It’s not spiteful. It’s observation. You replied fast enough anyway to half quote me
Someone had a frunk in a EV that you sat in and some people put cables in a frunk. Which EV? How’s that relevant to what I replied to
Hear say roff
Well tethered charger at home and fast charging on the road. You open that frunk for that 7kW cable as much as you top up screen wash.More nonsense...

Well enjoy it, very comfortable ride for longs trips. Don't try and lift the bonnet unless you have the proper brace or you can smash the windscreen!
Have to say I can't think of many cars outside of specialised stuff like exotics which don't have a user openable bonnet - not sure I'm a fan of that though in this case there isn't really a reason to go there in 99% of cases.
Isn’t a EV a car ? You just told us all that you need to open them to get to cables ? Now no one ever needs to open bonnets.Have to say I can't think of many cars outside of specialised stuff like exotics which don't have a user openable bonnet - not sure I'm a fan of that though in this case there isn't really a reason to go there in 99% of cases.
You aren't supposed to but you can, there is no built in strut, and no way to stop it going all of the way back. The opener is fastened under a panel that you need to pop open. Nothing you really need access to unless you have a 12v battery access or maybe want to check coolant levels etc.I have a feeling you can’t actually open the bonnet at all - if you look at the picture it goes all the way down to the wheel arches and there’s a separate panel on the left wing for the windscreen wash fluid to be added which was highlighted on every review I ever watched!

Such a strawman position creating discussions for nothing then yet again offended you get called out for it. There is no frunk on the car that we were talking about yet you went on about some EV you were a passenger in and hence all EVs have frunks
Does Rroff mean really really offended?
Not sure why you feel the need to misconstrue the contents of my posts... but if you look at the post above mine which I'm replying in context to I'm talking about Penfold101's Mercedes EQE saloon - not about EVs in general (hence the inclusion of "in this case" to denote I'm talking specifically about this car rather than vehicles or EVs in general).
Even most EVs have an openable bonnet - even if just for the "frunk" utility.
Me being "offended" is something you've entirely invented. If anything I'm amused and a bit disappointed.
The frunk on the Smart #5 would probably take a small bag. It even has a little bit of carpet material in the bottom. I've not seen any water ingress which is good news. I open the bonnet after washing to dry any drips, and apply plastic detailer, and always seems nice and dry. With that said I still keep the cable in the underfloor part of the boot. It’s a myth most EVs have a “frunk” (silly word) and of those that do have some space under the bonnet, it certainly isn’t enough space to call a second boot. Most of the time the space is barely enough to keep a pump, screen wash and first aid kit. Unless the space was properly sealed It’s really not a good place at all to store charging cables.
Even though the bonnet is on struts, it just seems wrong going to the front of the car and opening up the bonnet to get something out. lol.The frunk on the Smart #5 would probably take a small bag.
