Evans Halshaw

I echo MrLOL with regards to the Gateshead branch. I had exactly the same fault supposedly repaired 3 times. Each time just starting the engine up confirmed they had not fixed it. They are crap, and I will never ever buy another car from them! They even managed to damage the bonnet and refused to sort it. Took weeks of complaining to get anywhere with them.

Looking at those links again is that seriously a national company flogging 160,000 mile 12 year old Mondeos in condition like that?!

Eh?

As for the Vectra thing, your story made no sense, 38% finance and a shonky warranty on a car new enough to have manufacturer warranty?

Girlfriend had a good experience with them, about 2 years ago bought her first car from Evans Halshaw. A 1.2 Clio

Was a W plate with 84K miles, up for £2095 in the runabout section.

In the end she got it for £1250 as the car was going to auction because they had had it on the forecourt for a certain amount of time. Can't remember whether it was 30-something days or 50-something days.

After she bought it, had a couple of problems and all were fixed under the warranty in the first month.

(I do realise the car was overpriced at £2k, but she got it for £1250, which I don't think was a bad deal. It's still going strong and has been an exceptionally well looked after car.)

and thats before we get onto the fact that the cars sold through the Vauxhall Network have a network Q 12 month warranty.

Comprehensive warranty

Every vehicle that carries the Network Q badge comes complete with a minimum of 12 month / 20,000 mile worry-free warranty, or the balance of manufacturer's warranty, whichever is longer, providing you with that additional peace of mind that only
Network Q offers.

Your car is comprehensively covered for mechanical and electrical parts plus labour during this period. Provided by your retailer and backed by the might of Vauxhall - not a third party - you can look forward to miles and miles of carefree motoring.

Comprehensive Warranty is for vehicles not eligible for Lifetime Warranty.

Any vauxhall, on sale from a vauxhall dealer such as Evans Halshaw, will carry the Network Q logo.

Its not even Evans Halshaw who have to pick up the bill for it ! theres no reason for them not to offer it. Stop posting lies.
