Eve on Mac

Hi all, just wondering how everyone is getting on running Eve. Managed to get it running pretty sweet on my macbook at 1280 and the sound works fine. Never thought I'd get it to work as its the Intel 950 chip, also running 2GB mem, maybe thats helping.

what fps? I get maybe 15 - 20 in action thats on a macbook pro and an x1600

Im getting 20-30 FPS in space, running at 1600x1000 in a window, fullscreen takes over both screens and leaves 1 blank.

I need Apple to pull there finger out and release a new GFX card for the Macpro.

Not the gfx card. A X1900XT will run EVE in Windows at 1600x1200 max AA AF etc at 85FPS constant... in 2D clocks.

The wrapper sucks performance.

Im not using a X1900XT though, poxy 7300GT here, and im not paying £270 for the X1900XT mac card.

Pick a XTX off the bay for £80-100, flash it using a modified mac XT BIOS = Mac X1900XTX but the VIVO doesn't work but that doesn't matter

In my research for a new mac, I investigated using my HIS IceQ X1900XTX in a MacPro.

Yes you can, and Ctrl-F

Not that im in OcUK corp anymore, but, last time I was they were happy to recruit pretty much any OcUK members. Signup at www.oc-ps.co.uk which is where the OcUK corp members chat out of game.
