EVE online - legal private servers?

Iv been playing eve online for a few months now. ( paying ). But now my monthly subscriptions to stuff is getting high so im gunna cut down on things. I really enjoy eve online but its one of the most expensive things i pay a month to play.
This is the first month im not going to pay ( i cant afford and i have no way of paying )

Im just wondering is there any private servers? or is the game to big for people to make private servers?

I want to find LEGAL private servers i can play on. Something like what you pay for but maybe not get as much stuff or missions etc.


im not interested in illegal stuff.

Didn't realise other servers even existed, why would you want to play an MMORPG if you're practically playing on your own :s

After a few months you could probably be earning enough to buy timecards ingame :)
I know after nearly 4 months playing I could pull it off with a doing a few big missions a week.

theres a few illegal private servers but there ILLEGAL. But apparently they get a good amount of people playing. Still not interested because you start up with free ships and extremely powerful weapons.


Thats what i cant do :( i play eve around 1-2hours a day (not all in one) and i spend AGES on missions.
i didnt even know about these timecards. So basicly you do missions to pay for time cards?
how much are they? how long do they give?
 
270million ISK (or higher depending on where you are) for a month.

Whilst this sounds like a lot, as an example I did a Level 4 mission with a mate last night, took us maybe 90 minutes to clear it all out and then salvage and sell everything. We made a total of about 25 million ISK.

We both have fairly young / low skilled accounts (3-4 months) - something with more experience and better skills will likely complete the missions even quicker and could make more cash in the time. Run a fair few of those a month and you could easily cover it.

Doing things like Salvaging in wormholes, whilst high risk, can net huge gains too :)

cheers for that :D if i learned about this earlier i probably would have did more missions. I dont know anyone to play with so it kinda hard :D
Ill pay for another month at the end of april, il lsee where im at and how much i will earn per day playing. If i can get enough ill see about these timecards. Im still a noob at playing so i probably will pay for another month to get it :(
 
Join the ocuk channel and give some of us a shout. Always good to have more people to play with :)

I run missions to earn cash. But you can make a load via the other methods too, depends what your character is geared towards.
Imagine if you know the trade industry you can make a load of profit, flying a good mining ship? Loads of mining to be done.
I'm geared towards combat so go with missions.
 
Playing Eve solo is pointless to be honest. It can be done, but it's mind numbingly boring, while at the same time being extremely dangerous, and you'll miss the best Eve has to offer. Join the recruitment channel ingame or have a look at the main Eve thread for the OCUK corp.

get out in 0.0 u would do that in 20min :D ratting alone without the salvage stuff
 
Ok im making a new charactor....what one race/bloodline and ancestory will be the best to create a lot of income?
I like battles but i also like creating a load of income so i can have a spare ship incase i want to other types of mission. I wont be able to play atm but i would like to know whats best till i pay the fee.

Could try scamming someone in Jita too. Not really my bag but judging by contract history on the usual suspects it does work from time to time, certainly enough to pay for a GTC.

Having abit of trouble with this mission...the blackbox part isnt being checked off...any help? i didnt have this problem before. could be the pc that im on (not my pc)


-fixed, didnt realise it would check itself when i go back to the station.

We made 25+ million (each) the other night running 2-3 L4 missions not even salvaging - so with salvaging thats prolly 60 million or so in a couple of hours.

Yeh I can imagine, tbh my comment is a worst/average case scenario. I've made 30 mill solo in an hour on a big mission that suited my Abaddon through and through (ie see these Battleships that are hardly moving and there battlecruiser escort, they're gonna sit at your optimal range for max damage and die dropping lots of nice loot)
 
Do low sec exploration sites, you'll have a chance at some nice loots. I made 750 million ISK for a 4 chain escalation :) I did them in an Ishtar easily. Find some dead end low sec with no strategic and no stations and go nuts.
 
Need to go learn about exploration, find out what sort of ship I should be flying and what it needs to have fitted.
Any recommendations for an Amarr?

This. I did this while scanning for wormholes to go into, some of the escalations do net some great stuff but most of the time it will be just average stuff. Then there is the rarity of escalations.

Its worth doing though with the new scanning mechanics anyone can easily do it.
