I name my interceptors "Hulk" with the hope of fooling a n00b pirate. My mining ships have a Rocky theme including Rocky Balboa and Ivan Drago. That's about it, the rest are random.

For PvP descriptive names are not good, unless it is a lie!

The all my ships follow the traditional Royal Navy naming conventio, but the theme of my ships change every 6 months. Sometimes it is based on dead rockstars (eg HMS Jimi Hendrix) or the current flavour is dead comedians (HMS Kenneth Williams). As the token corp clown, my ships do cause a few laughs during fleet, especially when I play a fail-fit..

Same as others really, mine were all named after Royal Navy warships

If I did that for Irish Navy stuff I'd only ever be able to own two ships at a time

And those would usually be second hand Royal Navy ones...
