Eve Type Game

Hi all,
Does anyone know of a game that plays the same as eve online but is a single player version? Theres a release date for Elite 4 over on another site but I wanted something now. I used to love Eve, but never really got involved with any other people so kept getting blown up hence the question reagrding a single player game of some sort.

Cheers for that. Another site has the thing for only £7.99!! Just read a review on it and it seems pretty damn good. Lets hope I'm better at it than I was with Eve.

When you say users mods, what exactly is meant? If I wanted to create my own ship then I could? Or my own space station, commodity etc? What about ship addons, things like jump gates or afterburners?

I dont suppse theres something like Eve's exploration in X3 is there?
