Even a DX10.1 card is no match for Crysis?

Good I say :) I like how it's future proof :) Just means that the game will still be played and used as a benchmark for years to come!

Not running bad on highest everything with 2xAA at 1920x1200. Not using the latest beta drivers which are optimised for Crysis and I didn't right click the game to use DX10 mode to make it a little smoother. Hopefully it should run great when it is optimised further.

That bloke is talking Rubbish... I have used the config tweak to put everything on Ultra High and even with 1 8800GTX and a E6600 with 2GB RAM im averaging 30fps...

So howcome Cevat Yerli said a few weeks back a 8800GTS/2900XT could max it out at 1280x1024 (or something like that res)?

Or is this strictly if you enable 'Advanced Shadows' which probably aren't worthy of sacrificing performance for.

you're playing it on dx9 with many features removed with no fsaa support in the beta.

the "bloke" is the lead behind this game so he knows what he is talking about.

He alos never said max it out - he said HIGH settings. Since when has high = max?!

He did also say GFX cards won't be able to take advantage of all the features until a few years.

except ultra high doesnt work. Even the developers on the crysis forums said its impossible. AA works to a certain degree but no where near how it should aswell.

crytek have said that nothing else will have better gfx than crysis for another 2 years,
but the 3-5 years you mention is way too long and im sure something will come out by then and make cryengine 2 look as good as doom 1

Thing is, the shadows in Crysis arnt the killer.. anyone who has played the beta and has tested on their system can tell you that the shader setting is the biggest FPS and visual hit.

Im on XP, with a C2Duo, 8800GTS, 2Gb, 1680x1050, all on high except shaders on med and it runs fine, average 40FPS.
