I'm trying to update a friend's computer to Vista with a fresh install etc; his machine only has 512MB RAM at the mo' so I expect it to be on the slow side but .....
Vista went in ok and the P4 cpu is running at 2.4; now updating but finding that it is taking forever so go to task manager to see whats taking up the cpu, to find that tskmgr is around 70% and idle process nearly all the rest; the actual update process is only running at 2% ........ any Ideas?
I'm waiting for delivery of 2gig of RAM to throw in it to help matters but surely there is something wrong when the task manager is taking 70% of cpu???
