Ever belong to a clan/guild?

I was in [TKFM] Air Attack squadron back on Wireplay and then when WP went down I moved to CS1.6.

When CS:S came out i switched to that and left 1.6 behind. My mates from home and I got together a clan and our own server and just messed about really. One of those guys went on to play more seriously (called Sc0pe if anyone knows him). But I think he's playing less now.

Myself I really stopped playing so much when I got to uni. No time to play and my rig is starting to show it's age.

Used to be in Team OcUK...

mainly for the banter.. some very funny times during my sixth form years..

Outfits are almost vital in planetside. You don't want to grab a tank only for some random to jump in and start shooting the little targets instead of whats killing you. Set it to outfit only, call for a gunner overr teamspeak, and you get at least 50% more effectiv through the co-ordination the two of you have.

Shout out to the Armored Fist on NC Werner!

Been part of corporations in EVE for the last 3 years or so, was a director in one for almost two years of that.

Tunney, what clan(s) were you in? I never played on Wireplay, but was on Barrysworld quite a lot (and Demon after BW closed).

I played in [TBM] for a while and then our Wireplay clan [Sv] took a team onto the wild world of the Internet for a bit too. I remember use getting humped about 12-0 by The Spice Girls. :p

Best guild I have ever been in was Emerald Fusion in Legend of Mir 2 when it was at its peak

Was such a laugh and had was really well organised with in, sounds geeky now, but we had things like "Hunt Leaders" at different levels, I used to be in charge of lower level players and taking them round lower level dungeouns and areas to teach them where to level and make money, and also arranged a big get together to have a laugh. Sounds pointless but made the game a lot more fun

Also another good guild was in the same game, Apex, the strongest guild in that game, that was a lot of fun too :D Owning Sabuk Wall for weeks on end

Currently in the OcUK guild on WoW, also a good laugh

As for clans, used to be in a DoD clan back before source, was quite good fun but I had to quit as I started working more evenings while at college :(

I was in a few Day of Defeat clans.

Last one was the best, was a member of [TFS] The Firing Squad.

One of the longest running UK DoD clans out there.

Sadly, now defunct due to a lot of the guys moving on and growing older as we were predominantly a "mature" gamer clan.

I'm still on the official Valve webstaff on the Day of Defeat forums, although I haven't played the game for months.

Only in QW really, was a good few years when I was a lazy student and could play 6 hours a night :)

Played in the UKCL with F9 and 4kings, got bored of it and gave up - I think there was only 1 season of decent QW after that anyway, new games took over, I didn't like them :)

Was in a clan of rl friends in lower leage Q3 for a season, was fun while it lasted but I didn't spend anything like the time I did on QW and couldn't have hacked it in higher leagues.

Used to co-run a CS:S clan for quite some time, was good fun while we were doing it.

Ended up fading away though as I was getting more and more fed up with 14 year olds messing us about.

I was in a Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy clan called 'Black Death Clan', think i was in it a month or two before getting bored.

Been part of ClanUK since the days of Ultima Online though I'm not really playing anything with them at the moment I still keep in contact with a few friends. Use to be in Arch Overseers in EQ for a few years as well.

lol I laugh at the days of planetarion and empire quest (text based rts) and the guilds I was in lol. all the irc commands I had learned for chat, making bots etc lol, emailing people ingame to stop an incoming fleet on a planet lol!

"you have been warned please abort your fleet" was a popular one hahaha god that is bad.

I was an active player of Dawn of Myth (DoM) for around 2 years. :)
