Ever forgotten to go to work?

Last year I was at home, I was actually cutting the grass at the time, I get a phone call from Ryan (one of my managers and a friend) asking me if I was ok, I said I was and he said well they were worried about me at work because I hadn't turned up. I said I was working 4 - 8, he said "No, Si, your meant to be doing 11 - 8" I was like wtf, when I checked it said 4 - 8 found out the main manager of the store had changed my hours for that day and not told me. I was well confused, i know I didn't forget but still arg, anyway they wanted me in and they would only pay for the time when I was there I said you pay from 11 - 8 or I won't come in at all, they paid for an 11 - 8 :)

My first day at ASDA wooo - went in the second day thinking it was my first.

'Where was you yesterday?'

'At home thanks'

Me thinks 'Oh ****!'

I've forgotten to go to the right office before. I walked into the office in Milton Keynes and was asked why I wasn't in Paris. Whoops.

You got the wrong country? :/

To make matters worse Ive just realised tesco isnt open tonight as its sunday! Now I have no food for the night! :(

Knew I was late for work when the clock said 13:34 and I should have been in at 09:45! The boss loved me so I just acted really surprised at the fact that he thought I should be in: 'I'm not on the rota - I'm sure!' - turned up at half two and my mate was livid that I completely got away with it!

Can't blag that now I have a 'proper' job.

Ive forgotten a number of times - usually when I am given a shift on a day I normally dont work. And my managers being the useless sods that they are dont bother calling, oh no.

One time i forgot I was home all evening and the phone never rang once. Go in next day "we spent ages ringing you!"

me: "you bloody well did not! and I have 1471 to prove it!" :D

Well I had a 10 o'clock shift one day, I manage to get there at around 2pm, my manager was pretty cool with it too. But never forgot to go.

Oh i've done it before, midweek too

just got up as usual, showered and went at made breakfast and sat watching tv wasnt till 11am when my phone rang that it dawned on me.

i usually work mon-fri and there was nothing special about this particular day but for some reason the thought of work never even entered my head like it was a weekend or somethin, cant explain it

Funny story. A few years ago when I was having a little bout of depression, I'd come in from work somewhere between 5pm/8pm and pretty much go straight to bed.

Woke up once in the summer, and saw that the clock said 8.20, woke up, still in my uniform, had a quick wash, changed my shirt and undercrackers and legged it downstairs. Entered the living room to find my parents watching eastenders, to discover it was 8.20pm not AM, and I'd only been asleep about 90mins. No wonder I felt like crap.

Never going to do that again! :p ***** up your body clock I'll tell you.

lol, i did that before, but was running to catch a train home, had been asleep about 2 hours, not 14 i twigged after about ten mins of sprinting to station when i saw the street lamps turn on :D

I was once 24 hours late for work, had a doctors appointment for a shoulder problem, doc says he can't do anything about the shoulder, just pain relief...

and tells me, these painkillers are quite strong, so make sure you don't need to drive anywhere or operate any machinery, and make sure you are sitting down when you take them as they are fast acting ...

Fine.

get back at about 11am and sit on my Double bed, glass of water in one hand, and this huge tablet in the other, drank half the water, dropped the tablet, drank the rest...

and then wake up at 6pm.... the next day, wander around the house feeling a bit peckish, one of my housemates is cooking in the kitchen I mooch in with chronic cotton mouth and drink about four pints of water, and he's asking me where I've been and how I should have told him I'd be away...

I was kind of confused obviously, and explain I've just woken up, then it twigs that its actually wednesday or something, mad dash to the phone to call my boss at home, missed a couple of school visits for IT stuff! and have to explain that I took some powerful drugs and passed out!

he was pretty cool about it ultimately but I did get a railing from him and the web design guy for about six weeks afterward :D

I've forgotten I was at work (asleep overnight in my truck) and did'nt get up until 10AM one day, I should have been up & back on the road @ 5AM.

Opps! :o :D

Sadly, I've done the oposite in the past, forgotten I was off work! :o :o

I didn't think this was possible until today...

I think the meet on saturday had a terrible affect on me, my alarm went off and I was like 'why is my alarm going off ffs?'

I then remembered it was monday morning... groan.. wasn't too late, but then my boss text me saying she felt ill and would be in later.

In before the boss is always good even if you're a bit late ;)
