Going to RMA my Logitech MX1000 tomorrow to an online retailer, a courier is coming to pick it up, however duing my time away from home my mother had a big clear out and threw out the box.....

So will there be any problem sending it back without a box?

Their return proccedure states

Return the faulty/incorrect parts to us in adequate packaging ensuring that you return the item(s) in their original state with all manuals, cables or disks etc.

If you haven't already done so, please include a detailed fault report with each item so that we know what to look for when testing each item.

Well....its not going to be an original state (i mean it's been almost a year !), since no box i won't have the manual either. :(

I doubt it. They just stick that on there to try to get people to use the original packaging. Let's face it, you're not going to be the first to have thrown away the original packaging.
I've just RMA'd a maxtor drive to seagate without the ESD bag it came with, it states in the t + c's that it must have this for a return but sod them!

im takeing where they say Return the faulty/incorrect parts to us in adequate packaging means just send back what is faulty and in a box where the part is not going to get any more damage. Like in a antistatic bag with bubble rap and in a box
