Ever wondered how toothpaste would perform as thermal paste?

All the crazy things people try as TIM work only when wet.
Toothpaste sauce etc.
Once dry they turn to powder and well don't work so well :)

Back in the P4 days I ran out of TIM and used copper grease meant for use on cars.
The stuff you put on the back of brake pads.

Workrd surprisingly well.
It was full of copper flakes so no wonder.

Nope can't say its something I ever wondered about. Copper grease make sense due to coppers excellent thermal conductivity but I wouldn't fancy it on my system not when TIM is so cheap and does an excellent job.
