Hiya,

A few quick opinions required. :-)

I just grabbed a G0 Q6600 which I've been playing with and I'm getting some odd numbers from both Everest and Speedfan. The CPU temp shows as 19-20 degrees for a while then will flip to 85 degrees. Which is correct?
The individual cores happily sit at around 30-40degrees whichever CPU temp is shown.

Running the chip on a Maximus SE with TRU120X - 425fsb x 8

CPU 19 °C (66 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #1 33 °C (91 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #2 38 °C (100 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #3 26 °C (79 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #4 32 °C (90 °F)

CPU Core 1.29 V

Core Voltage 1.262 V
CPU Clock 3400.2 MHz (original: 2400 MHz, overclock: 42%)

Thanks for any thoughts.

Looks fine

My Q6600 GO :

core1 - 36
core2 - 39
core3 - 35
core4 - 36

CPU - 23

1.28 V @ 3.00Ghz

Reading from Everest.

Looking at Speedfan, it seems the Winbond chip is reporting 18degrees, while the ADT7475 is reporting 120degrees.

To check the facts of the matter I just powered down, popped my HS off and touched the chip - which was cold to touch. I guess the 18degree temp is accurate...

Maybe the odd jumps come from everest and speedfan averaging the two reporting chips?
