I have been using everest for a few days and find it really handy for temps and everything else you could ever want to know. I have a dual core clocked to 3.5 and the temps where showing cpu-43deg, core 1-40deg and core 2-39 deg. After a Bios update on my Asus p5k-e to version 0906 the temps aren`t showing right? Now says cpu 28-deg core 1-36deg and core 2-36deg. I have unisntalled everest and re-installed it again but temps still not showing correct? Anybody else have this? Is there a fix?

I`ve just installed another program. Speedfan is showing almost the same temperature values as everest. I Can only think its the Bios update i did that at fault. CPU-29 corre1-35 core2-35 while everst shows cpu-29 core1-36 core2-39. Strange?

Use this version of CoreTemp for x64 Vista.

Run the coretemp-startup.bat file before running the CoreTemp .exe.

Ahhh nice one thanks. Ok got that on and coretemp readings are also more or less the same as Everest temp readings. Coretemp shows no cpu temp like everest just core 1 and 2. Are they all i should be concerned with?

Yes as core temps are taken from a diode in the proccessor core the other cpu temp is just the socket temp.

I would take the 0906 BIOS off and put the 0602 BIOS on, 0602 is much better for overclocking, less vdrop and vdroop issues and doesnt undervolt the CPU
