I haven't opened case to check the noise is originating from graphics card, but I'm assuming it's the graphics card by listening by the case air vent.
As soon as I get to character selection screen I hear an electrical hum. Minimising the game and opening up another maximised window (web browser) doesn't get rid of the noise.
Once I get into the game the sound changes, and reminds me of a wire contacting the fan blades. But I think it's just the same sound as above, just cutting out constantly.
I'm using a 7900GTX, Win XP updated, Forceware 162.18
Anyone else know of this issue, or a work around? Its only ever occurred in Everquest 2. Recently been playing World of Warcraft and Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter without issue.
