Well i've just gone back to it after quitting it months and months ago (soon after Desert of Flames came out). Well im quite impressed with what they've done to the game, all those annoying little bugs that i had before are gone. The game just seems so much better now after all them updates.

Played WoW, got bored, left. Went back, quit again in less than a week. When i play EQ2 it just has so much more depth to it than most MMORPGs out there, not as much as EVE online of course, but more than enough.

I highly recommend people to give this a go, and if you quit many months ago, i'd also recommend you to give it a go again :) This game has changed quite a lot and im hoping you will enjoy it as much as i am again at the moment!

Good job SOE :D

Well i think its to encourage you to explore, a lot like a real adventurer would do :p

As for the lack of new skills...well its a lot like WoW isn't it? After a certain level all you're doing is buying real expensive upgrades to your current spells, and rarely do you get something new (and useful). Well i only played a mage so i don't know about the other characters in WoW!

I met another WoW guy on the starting island of EQ2 and he said he didnt like it because he couldn't get used to the UI, etc. Then he says he came from WoW and turns out he was expecting EQ2 to play like WoW. WoW and EQ2 and two different games, you won't enjoy EQ2 if you try and play it like WoW!

Well i think EQ2 has a lot to offer, especially some of those features in the expansion to improve character diversity. Shame i can't find the all-in-one pack anywhere!!

I quit about the same time after DoF came out after playing since beta. Good to hear it's not gone down the drain by SOE :) Might have to reactivate for a month or 2.

Prefer it to WoW tbh but i agree it plays different and well worth a try if your bored of other mmo's.

Well recommend you to go back to it :) Second day back and im playing my berserker from scratch, which seems to have changed quite a bit.

For some reason they removed it from Direct2Drive...can't get it in any shops in the UK...perhaps they just ran out of serial keys? :p

I don't think raiding (in any MMO) is suitable for everyone. It really does depend on who you are playing with. If you are playing with idiots then of course you won't enjoy it but if you're playing with nice people (and on TS) you can have a laugh and a chance of getting some nice loot, especially if the raid is well organised. I've heard that the endgame content has changed quite a bit, although i've never reached endgame ill look forward to it. But getting to 70 will take a long time so i can enjoy the game until then :p
