I just knew you'd say that... it doesn't feel like EQ from the info it feels like a wow rip off (EQ was never so cartoony).

EQ had a "nitty gritty" style tho, things kinda made sense in a fantasy kinda way... whereas the info I've looked at on EQ3 seems to have drawn a lot from wow's style of "its 'cool' so we'll throw it in whether it makes sense or not".

I loved my Iksar Monk... Although pulling mobs for a 60 person 16 hour raid was more of a job than a game :p

just quit posting you make yourself look like more of a moron by each post

Wow, it took 20 minutes for someone to mention World of Warcraft. They are slipping.

Cant wait to see what the system specs are like for EQ3!

they didnt say much about requirements but they did say they want to use current and future tech to scale with the game as much as possible

I love how quickly things get hostile when people talk about mmo's ;p

Would be great if they do well with this, we won't see any development in the mmo market until something competes with wow. Bliz know they have the market completely cornered so seem to be expanding the accessibility of their product rather than pushing the genre.

Every single MMO leeches the most successful ideas from each other as its what customers have come to expect.

As long as EQ3 has ratongas in it ill play if not.... meh

I dunno what kind of figures wow has now, but surely there figures have greatly droped by now, the game is ancient and there r better mmo's out there now, and im sure most people playing it have done everything they can do in it by now, so time for people to move on.

But as i said i don't know the figures from wow so this is just my own thoughts.

yeah quite funny.

EQ1 was very different to wow aside from the fantasy aspect - I'm not good at explaining it but things were quite "grounded" in reality in a fantasy sense... whereas WoW anything goes if it makes sense or not aslong as its "cool", with EQ3 they seem to have looked at what made WoW work and run with it - which makes sense I guess if your trying to develop a sucessful commerical title but haven't we had enough WoW clones?

There is an expansion due out in a few months plus they bring new instances out in the mean time to keep people busy. I believe there are only a few guilds so far that have completed everything there is on hardmodes in WoW.

DAoC was a good game, old but good.
