Everquest = Free?

Hi guys i have just logged onto my SOE account and it says my Everquest account is active! Is Everquest now free or something?

They have either never stopped billing you or most likely its a one of their promotions where they activate old subscriber accounts. They have done this quite a lot to try and get people back.

Checked my old accounts and they are all closed. Im us servers though and do not know if you would have a different set up or not. Might check the cc as I have heard stories of that happening to people.

Do you pay for station access for other games (Vanguard, Planetside, EQ2 etc)? As you get access to all station games with that.

I remember SOE allowing old SWG players to use their accounts at no charge for a fortnight as a means of letting them try the game out again and them doing something along those lines with Vanguard recently. Maybe it's a similar deal with EQ2 now.

Didn't EQ bring out a free server which was supported by in game Advertising? Could be that maybe.

They give you 30 days free play for any old players wanting to come back, I'm not sure how long the account has to be dorment for this to be viable.
