I'm not exactly sure where the noise in coming from, but it's not coming from the actual mouse nor is it coming from my speakers.

The mouse is a CM Storm Spawn.

It's probably capacitor whine caused by a vibration resonance between your PSU and graphics card.

Is it only happening with this mouse?

I used to have it when scrolling but never on mouse move.

Is your mouse one that can set it's polling rate? Maybe alter that?

Could be your gfx card? Cap whine like someone else said, I had it once. The card would only whine when rendering certain things!

Or then again it might not be anything to do with that at all.

My mouse has a button on it that I can switch the dpi, but it doesn't stop it from making the noise. The only time I've noticed a noise when scrolling was when I scroll through my email in live mail.
