Everybody's golf special shots.

Hi there.

Can anyone explain how to do a super backspin/forward spin ?

They're so easy to do in Mario golf and Pangya but they're not very well explained in Everybody's golf.

I have managed to fluke a few but then the next shot I do the exact same thing and nothing happens

*Can they ony be done on greens ?
*Do you have to press up/down at the exact same moment you press X to hit the ball ?
*Can only characters with a high spin rating do them ?
*Do you have to have 100% for them to work ?

Any help would be supah !!

hold up (dpad) on first back swing, then press down (dpad) on impact of shot

for the second part, you can hold it for the duration of that part of the swing, but i usually tap down when tapping x

Ok, I do that and get a perfect impact and I see the ball in flames, but still, sometimes nothing happens with the ball when it lands. No flaming backspin or forward spin.
It just bounces to a stop

Do the special shots only happen in certain situations ?

I'm fairly sure only certain characters with those attributes (check their stats) can pull of those shots?

have you leved any up? i think it might be unlocked after a while, like backdoor shots etc

Yeah, I've even unlocked an intermediate character.

Press down on the dpad whilst swinging. Press down on the dpad as you swing forward as well and it will superspin.

Theres also a ball that will automatically spin into the hole if you hit the flag.

You will only get the flames and major spin if you hit a shot PERFECTLY. With advanced it must be on the spot, or with normal must be smack on the middle of the bar. The same goes for uber power shots.

It's all about practise, but my pr0ness was awesome the other day. Got soo much backspin it spun back into the water

Well that's the odd thing.
I deffinately get the flames so I AM hitting it perfectly (no I'm not using power shots) but I don't always get any spin.
I'm starting to think its broken

you need to get the loyalty of a particular character up to unlock those moves. The heart things... 3 or 4 needed for super top/back spin IIRC

I'm up at like 6 or so for loyalty.... hmmmmm......

for back spin hold up when u start the swing, then when u stop it for the power press and hold down, i hold down till the ball has stoped moving and ive only done it on greens

Thanx for all the info guys.
I now know how to do the spins and make the ball flame through the air (even though it doesn't always spin when touching down)

Just one more thing.
Does anyone know what the number means that appears above the golf ball icon sometimes ?
