... But me and about 3 friends are looking for a holiday on the cheap in Cornwall.

We have got prices for the coach to Falmouth (Train was far from cheap) and just need a cheap place to stay. Don't mind camping but we have found a cheapish chalet park in Falmouth right next to the beach.

Has anyone got any recommendations of where to go in Cornwall? ( i randomly chose Falmouth.) and where to stay on the cheap?

Managed to get it for around £200 (guesstimated food and spending money) for a week but just wondered if there was anywhere better to go. (£200 seems an ok price)

Thankyoooou!

Don't go to Camborne is one idea, no really dont :p

Erm I always liked Perranporth as RandomTom said, Porthleven is alright aswell.

Went to Porthleven last year with the bf's parents camping. It was good.

Know anywhere to stay in either Porthleven or Perranporth?

Cornwall during your school holidays is in peak season, thus making it mega expensive. £200 is a really good price, probably the best you will find.

What i thought! Bargain!

Its around £130 for a week in a self-catering chalet, right next to the beach with return coach included!

70 quid a week for food and drink? I would suggest thinking about a little more. :)

70 quid food & drink is EACH! We don't spend that much for a week in my family - 3 people. I was thinking around a tenner a day, apart from Dave - he's a piglet so might need a bit more

Will all be 17 when we go. This is a low budget holiday dammit! Not looking to spend money doing much - just mess around a bit on the beach and relax etc..

I take it you are old enough to drink alchofol (didnt look at your age)? If so that just wont happen, we went to glenshee(sp) skiing while at college and in one night 6 of us spent 120 quid on alchol for the chalet.

/edit all bought in a supermarket

Ok well I would look at doing bargin food hunting and cooking for the group and not as an induvidual, as even eating out etc will bump that up for the week.
