Just recently, windows works fine (including firefox) and I can do anything, other than open games.
It looks normal, then freezes before the game's even started. A black box comes up (the size of the window... i have my games at a lower res) and then a windows error occurs.
dwwin.exe uses about the same amount of mem usage as the game, but that's just the windows error
i've refreshed the ram, done a system restart, rebooted the pc numerous times, and not uninstalled any drivers or anything
another point, since it started ****** up, the beep that the pc makes on start up sounds and i get horizontal scanlines on my monitor, which i think is from the tv being right next to it?
also, my sister was messing around at the back of the pc and it sounded constantly for like 5 seconds
like i said, everything works apart from games, so i doubt its a serious hardware malfunction.
