So...all in all one of those problems i'm totally stumped with. I bought an evga supernova 1300 G2 to replace my ageing Enermax Evo 1250. The enermax is still fine but I fancied something totally modular and it was on special at OCUK that week. All was fine for a couple of months until it went bang one afternoon whilst in the middle of a gaming session.
Googling it I realised mine was part of a faulty batch that'd been recalled. I contacted evga and started an RMA. a new unit arrived which I fitted...Nothing. No lights on the motherboard. Checked cabling, nothing. I put a new fuse in the kettle lead, still nothing. I then tried the kettle lead from the Enermax, again dead.
Started another RMA and received another unit on Friday, I'd asked them to send a complete set of cables (more to see if that could rule them out?) but only got the bare unit in a box. Plugged this one in, loud pop and all the ground floor lights went out! New fuse, same thing. Plugged the Enermax back in and all working ok.
So now i'm totally stumped? Have I just had incredibly bad luck, am I an idiot or is something else at fault? I think it must be something cabling wise?
Thanks in advance.
