EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra strange memory temp?

Been checking HWinfo64 memory temps, and also on GpuZ and Precision X. Now I’ve noticed that the maximum temp in a few of the readings can read as high as 145 degrees. All my other GPU temps are great, and this only happens for a second and then back to normal, it does not slowly reach these temps and stay there.

Has anyone else had any issues? I was thinking it may just be the programme or the sensors not reading properly. I mean everything is solid and I’ve had no crashes or anything abnormal.

Any help appreciated.

That seems strange that your junction goes so high.

I assume you meant the junction temperature.

Maybe contact the manufacturer support?

No both the junction temp and hot spot temp are fine. It’s strange because all other temps are normal.

I’ve noticed while gaming that the GPU core clock sometimes drops below 1800mhz. It mainly sits around 1800-1900. I know the advertised speed is 1800, so I mean is this normal?

If you're hitting one of the GPU's limiters, yes. You're likely hitting the power limit with Ampere at stock. GPU-Z or Afterburner will tell you which limit your card is hitting if you leave them running in the background. There's generally some very decent room for undervolting with these cards, which will provide better performance than stock (lower temperatures and no more hitting the power limit).

Thanks for the info. I will give this a go. I just thought with the other issue Im having, that this might be linked in some way. Thankfully it sounds normal. The last thing I would want to do is RMA. I contacted the place I bought the full system from and they don’t sound too concerned, so hopefully everything is fine.
