Evga 680i motherboard code??

Hi I’ve have a new Evga motherboard for a while now "and yes I did go through all the hassle with the xfi sound cards and sata issues. However I have a new one and i wondered if anyone could shed some light on the subject...

I was in the middle of playing one of the older versions of splinter cell and the motherboard started beeping.... I took a look at the LED panel and its says FF which according to the manual means "boot." I’ve not noticed any writing on the panel before and forgive me for being a noob if the words FF have been there all the time its just I’ve never seen them...

After a restart the noise went away and have not retuned after some hours of looking at temps and voltages everything seems to be ok..

Is there anything to worry about or have i just never noticed the code FF before?

is it sort of squeak noise i have bfg 680i board and it squeak's too, ff code is normal i think but not certain

FF is the standard boot code you should see. Anything else and you have a problem.

No idea what the beep was though.

The beep may have been the board telling you all is well.

tis called a post bleep

FF is a full boot code meaning everything is fine and dandy

I doubt repeated bleeping in the middle of playing splinter cell was a POST bleep

Sounds like the PS2 keyboard bug if it's beeping when gaming.

keyboard and mouse are both USB and i can still move both even when its bleeping... As soon as i come out of the game the noise stops instantly and when i go back in it starts back up but only somtimes.... (i just have to keep going in and out until i dont get the symtoms) Im guessing know one else has had this issue to date then???? What was the keyaboard issue anyhow??
