Evga 680I , please recommend some fast memory ?

yeah but ballistix are a lot better using less volts for same clocks m8 ive had both ocz sli 8500 + ballistix and the ballistix are loads better for overclocking i got a lot further anyway

i had some ocz ati memory 6400 and i saw a big improvment but if your not overclocking and benching you wont see much

Using the balistix on my striker and I could not get them even to run at the right speed, in the end changed them for geil black dragon which have been running like perfection!

You've never actually said what you're looking for from them (maybe you thought it would be obvious I guess?).

If it's for overclocking then yes, those pc2-9200 sticks will pretty much guarantee your memory won't ever be a limiting factor.

TBH with the e6600 the 8500 wouldn't even be a limiting factor!

If you did manage to clock them to their rated speed your chip would be at 4.8ghz which is rather fast... quite a bit faster than you're likely to see any C2D running at!!! ;) :p

this is true but ** better off running in sync mode

so 3.6 on a 9xmulti is 400 fsb so the memory is running 800 iirc
