How do i turn off the "floppy seek" at startup?
Iv looked in the bios and i cant seem to find it
It's getting annoying now... the way i have to press f1 everytime i turn on the pc

And how do i set up raid0 on my two raptors... i have no idea at all :(

---

Thanks :)

In the Integrated peripherals menu select RAID config.

Set RAID to enabled, then enable the two SATA ports you have the two drives plugged into. You should be able to tell this from the main BIOS screen. You can also just enable them all, but don't do that if you have a SATA optical drive.

You can now save and exit the CMOS (F10).

Then when the system boots up next, immediately after the screen that says 'press del to enter config' you will see a new screen that says NVRAID and it counts off the hard drives connected to the RAID controller. It will say something like Press F4 to enter RAID manager.

Press F4.

You can now add the two drives to a new Array of RAID 0. Leave cluster size settings on defaults unless you are aware of the risks of changing them. Once you have created the array then you can install your OS as normal.

Thanks.. another thing is that when i attach the power switch header to the motherboard the switch still doesnt work

I'v tried every single pin etc etc but still nothing

Every pin? That's probably not a good idea, however.... I take it you are starting it with the hard-switch on the board then?

Have you definitely got the PWR two-pin header on the red area of the front panel header?

Well there isn't a "red panel" its all yellow

I'v tried it the other way around and still nothing

and yes im using the onboard switch

And when i put my 2 raptors into raid the bios doesnt pick up my hdd :(

They don't show up in the BIOS screen anymore, no, because they are no longer connected to that controller - they are on the NVRAID controller and that has it's own BIOS which you enter via F4 when the computer is booting up. Didn't they supply a manual with yours? :p

Oh - on mine (new batch, just got it!) there is a single pin (black). The four pins next to that are the power and reset pairs. The ones on the row that has a pin missing are the power pins on mine.

All yellow?

That would make it 10x more confusing to fit those pins. It's a lot easier when they all have their own colour. : /

this motherboard only arrived yesterday (had it pre-orderded from elsewhere)

So it must be one of the latest ones?

triple post sorry..

i enable the sata ports in bios for my 2 150gb raptors in raid or w/e you wanna call it.

i press f10 , save to cmos and restart and when the pc boots up i press f10 and go into the raid setup bios thing :S and there my hdd is picked up as 279gb or something like that

but when i go to install windows it doesnt pick up my hdd.. why?

Are you using the RAID drivers - you know - "Press F6 if you need to install drivers"?

I completely forgot about them..

I'm getting worse and worse with hardware everyday :/

EDIT:
*SIGH* they are on a floppy disc and i dont have a floppy drive..
