EVGA 680i SPDif Help

I can't get my optical out / Spdif working on my board, or so it seems.

I have plugged my surround system head unit in, and it says that there is no optical signal being received.

It seems to say it is enabled, but when I go to the volume controls it is greyed out.

I have enabled HD Audio in the bios and I dont think there is a jumper on the board that I could have missed.

Just really bugging me that I can't get it working.

Anyone know anything that can help as I will be very grateful

My surround is the Logitech Z-5400

Also, anyone know where I can get some 6 Channel leads from?

As if I cant get the optical out working I may use that instead.

hmm worked fine with my evga 680i, before i got a new soundcard, im on vista64, got the latest realtek drivers, think you have to switch to spdif output in the realtek onboard sound control panel, that installs with the drivers
