EVGA 680SC specs!!!! dates to be confirmed.

If it comes with the 10yr warranty, a backplate and a free game as my 580's did. Then £40 is reasonable.

However if its a reference card with a 5% increase there's a good few people at EVGA getting their LOL on...

The backplate version costs even more.

Certainly taking the hit and miss out of customers imo, but they will be defended by happy mugs/customers.

I'd be happy to pay £40 for an EVGA version. IF it weren't for the fact that we, in the UK, are already getting ripped on the high-end GPUs this cycle.

If the standard card was priced at US price in GBP + VAT then I'd still be only £410 for the EVGA SC version. but at £470 I wouldn't touch it.

It's nothing short of scandalous with all the price gouging the UK gets hit with xsistor, anything over and above applicable uk tax addons is gouging plain and simple.

The 680 is a very desirable card indeed, add in the problems of very short supply and it's only going to get worse.

It's really not very impressive. I achieved a much better overclock with a regular model and most cards should be able to hit the sort of speeds we're talking about here. It would only really be worth getting a superclocked version if it hit a minimum of 1.2GHz boost, 6.5GHz memory.
