So I am looking at getting this card likely in March.

The classified.

For me noise is a big factor so the hybrid looks like it might be the winner from what I've read

However.... It comes with 120 mm rad and fans, and I have 140mm fans throughout my case and honestly prefer the noise frequency I can hear the difference.

SO Can I change out the default installed AIO for my H90 or Kraken X41 (already owned) and a set of 140 fans?? (I Run the 140 fans from a controller so wont pull from the card.)

If I get it and it runs fine and I cant hear it, I wont touch it (save replace the stock fan) if it annoys me however I want to be able to swap out the default AIO for mine and I'd just like to know if that's possible?

Also they still warranty it right ?(provided I am not a plank and break the darn thing) - I understand EVGA allow this.

Any comments about the noise from the Classified vs hybrid would be appreciated.

I've already got an AIO (h90) fitted to my current r9 290 (using a g10 and 2 X 140 cougar vortex fans) just wondered if the plate for the hybrid is fixed or you can unscrew the AIO from the mounting plate and fit your own AIO?

The pictures I've seen suggest its just mounted into a plate but it's a standard aio (looks to be the H50 )

However if you link to those I'd add it to the consideration Thank you.

It is possible to use a Hybrid Cooler on the above cards but you will need to modify a little bit. With the REF card the ground plate stay on the card and the mosfet as well as teh RAM do get cooled by that ground plate and the Ref fan. If you go for AIO and a ACX card you can also leave the ground plate on the card but this is not enough cooling for the power management!!!! At that point you would need to go custom and put some passive RAM cooler on the ground plate and some airflow need to go trough this. If you have a strong fan in the system blowing in the direction of the card it is usually enough but the power management of the card do defently need more cooling then the groundplate itself can offer

To make things simpler, are 135/140mm fans with 120mm fitment holes a no-go? I'd have thought that would've sorted your issue...

OCUK used to sell 120mm to 140mm cowels in blue, red and green as I have a red and blue one. It allowed me to have the evga hybrid AIO cooler with the Corsair H55 which has 120mm rad and then I can use any 140mm fan. Surely someone still sells them.

If you're a stickler for noise the Hybrid may not be for you. Despite countless misuses of the word 'silent' I found the whine from the water pump could clearly be heard over the whole system, with two different Hybrids. However it is a quiet build. I know water pumps click slightly and buzz etc but the overall noise from most systems probably drowns it out. If your systems already quiet it may not be a good choice, though I can't fault the cooling abilities.

That said if you also have a Kraken it probably won't bother you. I could hear it clearly over my X31 but that's because I'm running it around 7v, other than the odd rare gurgle you can't hear it, unless your ears next to it. Makes no difference, performance wise by the way. I am very fussy though when it comes to buzz and vibration... also erratic fan speeds.

Agreed that if a system is very quiet (mine is) that AIO coolers can be quite audible.
