EVGA 9800 GX2 - Artifacts

Hi all,

I'm having trouble after my PC woke up after using it earlier on today.

Artifacts on the screen, no matter wat I try.

Any idea why this may occur or what I can do to see if I can get rid of it?

I think its your GPU? Do you have another one to change them out?

Yes. I'll try with another card. I will post back if this works. (Currently on laptop)

Indeed, it does look like the GPU has the problem.
I got it working with an old card instead.

Are these artefacts fixable do you know?

Bet ur glad u bought EVGA!
call them and ask for an RMA number...

And a free upgrade!!
It sounds like a gfx card problem

I had a 9800GX2 before my 470, and it started artifacting too. RMA it, it's on it's way out mate.

If true about EVGA refusing RMA due to dust, I'm sure they'll be fussy about receipt.

What's the gpu temp like. It might just need a good clean to get it working again.

tbh... it's very clean inside, can hardly see a spec of dust. my pc doesnt really get dusty either. i'll see if ocuk can find the old invoice...

ah woops! looks like I didnt buy it through OCUK, had to get the invoice off another place but its being returned as we speak, thanks for all your help.
